Building a digital presence
for Central Africa’s logistics future

CM2S — Cameroon Marine & Ship-to-Ship Services — is a Douala-based marine logistics operator delivering offshore transshipment and bulk cargo handling across the Gulf of Guinea.

The company needed a bold, high-performance website that could communicate its strategic vision to global importers, exporters, and investors — while positioning itself as the definitive offshore logistics hub for Central Africa.

We designed and developed a fully custom digital platform: a fast, modern, content-rich website reflecting the precision and scale of CM2S’s offshore operations, supported by a structured content architecture and an integrated blog engine for thought leadership.

A complex industry.
A clear message.

  • 01 The marine logistics sector is highly technical — the website needed to communicate depth and expertise without overwhelming non-specialist investors and trade partners.
  • 02 CM2S had no established digital presence. Brand voice, visual identity, and content strategy all had to be built from scratch — aligned to a regional powerhouse narrative.
  • 03 The site needed to load fast on variable African network conditions, remain SEO-ready for global reach, and perform across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  • 04 Multilingual and multi-audience: the platform had to serve bulk commodity traders, port authorities, and potential equity investors simultaneously.

Six pillars of a
strategic digital build

01
Brand-First Architecture
We opened with a thorough brand discovery session — defining tone of voice, visual language, and competitive positioning before writing a single line of code. Every design decision traces back to the brand brief.
02
Custom Frontend Engineering
Built with React and Next.js for blazing SSR performance. Smooth CSS animations, responsive grid layouts, and a deliberately cinematic hero section set CM2S apart from standard logistics websites.
03
Headless CMS Integration
A structured headless CMS backend gives the CM2S team full editorial control over blog posts, service pages, and announcements — without touching code. Content and code are cleanly separated.
04
Performance & CDN Delivery
Cloudflare CDN deployment with aggressive image optimisation and lazy loading. Pages load in under 2 seconds on 3G — critical for users across Central and West Africa.
05
SEO & Structured Data
Schema markup, meta strategy, and semantic HTML ensure CM2S ranks for high-intent maritime logistics queries. Thought leadership blog content amplifies domain authority over time.
06
Secure Backend & API Layer
Node.js REST API handles contact form submissions, newsletter signups, and future integrations. HTTPS enforced across all endpoints; environment-based secrets management throughout.
